Delivery-Derby Art Direction & Asset Production

Over the last 12 weeks I have been privileged to be Art Director and Lead 3D Artist on an upcoming game for my latest Uni project! Delivery-Derby is an arcade racing game about delivering food fast. Like Crazy Taxi / Mario Kart with upgrades and a punk-Brisbane setting. We set out to develop a vertical slice of our vision of the game, my duties ad Art Director and 3D Artist was to design and guide the visuals and artistic identity of the project, creating the majority of the 3D art for this project. Over the 12 weeks we completed everything and more from what we originally set out to achieve, we want to continue development on this project to completion, so keep and eye out in future!

It was been really informative and entertaining experience using the game engine Godot. I found it very similar to blender. I enjoyed crafting the look of the vehicles and probs using visual shaders in Godot.

Zal Hazlan was the Concept Artist and UI Artist, creating the designs for the LPlater, Cop car, Bus, and Pedestrian models!

Raphael Pacheco helped me with 3D asset creation towards the end of the project, modelling the brick train station, seen in the ‘Dusty Street’ Picture.

Kyan O'Neall was the lead programmer and game designer and approached me and Zal about this project
